In Honour of Gerlando (Gerry) Bruno

On April 14, 2025, Gerlando (Gerry) Bruno, the founding President & CEO of InterVISTAS passed away peacefully, after a long battle with prostate cancer.

At InterVISTAS, we deeply mourn the loss of an inspirational leader and visionary whose remarkable career spanned 50 years. His contributions to numerous organizations, including Transport Canada, YVR, and the Future Borders Coalition, exemplified his unique ability to transform the impossible into extraordinary achievements.  A “no” answer often became a win for everyone involved, particularly in transportation, trade, and tourism. Gerry always kept a long-term vision for the future at the forefront of his mind.

Our condolences to the Bruno family – his wife and our former colleague Janice, brother Steve as well as Jean-Paul, Rachel, and Gerry’s grandkids Alice & Tom.  Gerry’s life as a “Nonnu” to his grandkids is one he especially relished in.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to Prostate Cancer Centre or Peace Arch Hospital.
